Chorleywood Saturday 3rds - League v Offley & Stopsley

Against a team that have rampaged through the lower divisions since being elected to the league, the 3rds came within one wicket of inflicting a first defeat against Offley & Stopsley. Put into bat, Tweeds and Freddie got off to a lightning start and Simon Botterill continued to pile on the runs. Ryan Toms (still only 12) played a very mature innings, scoring 35, but the innings tailed away and we were all out for 187 leaving 10 overs unused.

Great bowling from Mark Sinderberry (6-84) put the much vaunted Offley batsmen under pressure and Ryan chipped in with two for good measure. But too many dropped catches allowed Offley to escape unbeaten with their last pair at the crease.
