New Pavilion / Mission EmployAble Partners

CRICKET CLUB - The Cricket Club took possession of the newly built pavilion mid-October 2022, along with the exciting addition of Mission EmployAble's fantastic new training café (Café on The Common) that started operations on the 16th January 2023.

The Club will continue to develop and consolidate its partnership with Mission EmployAble through the use of the shared facilities, including the provision of catering for the Cricket Club.

The Club will enhance the new Club Lounge over time to increase its appeal to players, cricket lovers and friends. This will give greater incentives for its all year round social use. It is expected that the new pavilion will become a centre for both players and social members in getting together and using all its facilities throughout the year.

The Club MUST continue to raise funds to pay off loans for the new facility and for improvements that are already seen to be needed from experience in use.

THERE ARE SEVERAL GOOD WAYS OF HELPING TO SUPPORT THE CLUB

  • Gift Aided donations through Just Giving
  • Donate a leaf on the Willow Tree to celebrate members past and present and families who love to see cricket being played by all ages and genders on Chorleywood Common
  • The 50 Club monthly draw. This is a low cost way to contribute for four monthly cash prizes.
  • Club membership subscriptions, match fees and bar sales. Membership Application
  • Sponsored activities and social events by members.
  • Family or individual legacies.
The Club plans to introduce Ladies and Disabled cricket when able to do so. This will require the recruitment of appropriate managers and coaches to organise training and events. A plan to bring this forward will be developed once the Club fully settles into its new facility.

MISSION EMPLOYABLE - This wonderful charity's mission is 'to fulfil lives for young people aged 19 to 25 with learning disabilities'. It opened its new Café on The Common on 16 th January 2023.
