Well played 'Wood

Not great conditions for cricket but the never let it be said we're not keen for a game!! Despite a rain interrupted first innings we stuck at it with Luiggi hitting a fine 49, Mr Reeve is really looking in form again despite deliberately getting out to save himself the expense of a jug. Support from Big Mac with a superb 39 and Junior (11) and Andy Lowe (15) chipping in lower down the order. It could have been more but for a few mind boggling LBW's and the odd one keeping low but all the same 139-9 declared was always going to be challenging on a wet wicket and a slow outfield.

'Wood's opening bowlers Lowe and Tyler started well but Southgate's reply was cut short by further showers and the game never re-started. Robbed of a result Chorleywood can be confident that this match would have ended in a well deserved victory.

Definite signs of things coming together for the Sunday II's as we search for the first win of the season.
