| Your correspondent missed the Chorleywood innings as he was watching the Ryder Cup but on inspecting the track at tea time (it was very wet) 107 looked a good score Johnny Rice with 40 and Freddie Dare 16 were the key contributors. After a few speculative overs of pace from Rice jnr and Brabs the real business started when Andy Lowe and Nick Rice were introduced, it was clear to the crowd that their type of bowling would be difficult to get away and so it proved. Both were helped by the best fielding performance of the season, Nick took 2 wickets in his first over, the first thanks to a sensational catch by Tom. Andy made it 3 down for 40 after a smart stumping by Freddie and this was followed by 2 run outs and a fantastic running one handed catch by Brabs the catch of the season. Nigel then wrapped up the innings and the Wood ran out winners to end the season on a high.
