| On a very poor pitch with an outfield not fit for Rugby never mind cricket St Albans had the only batsman capable
of hitting boundaries, Zaman smashed 74 including 5 sixes and St Albans totalled an imposing 186. Mike Rose was the
pick of the bowlers taking his third successive 5 wicket haul, for 64 runs and Alex Botterill took 3-38 on debut.
Mike Rose then broke a club record by adding a third successive 50 to his 3 5 wickets hauls in his last 3 games and with Simon Dare who grafted out 58 took the Wood to 140-3 but when the 2 experience players fell the total of 186 was too much but encouragingly Jamie Smithson and Robbie Marsh from the clubs U15s were able to block out for a draw.
