Hello everyone,

We’re officially into October and that means 25 days for you to confirm your attendance at this years Awards Dinner.

You’re encouraged to bring your significant other but of course this is your decision. A reminder of what you ticket will include:

• A 3 course meal followed by mints, coffee/tea • Half a bottle of wine with your meal or two soft drinks • Entry into a cash prize draw • The famous heads or tails quiz • Great awards speeches • A chance to catch up with team mates and friends • Guaranteed entertainment until midnight!

Club Day - THE CHORLEYWOOD ASHESNew!
Hi Everyone,

Sincere apologies for the lack of communication over the format of this years Club Day. Due to various weddings and other family commitments, the pool of players available is lower than most years which has led to difficulties in deciding the final plan for this year. Fear not though, there is A PLAN! A senior (in age & wisdom) team (led by an Aussie!) will take on a talented (in computer skills and yobbery) younger team (led by a typical english gentleman!) in a day of mixed formats. There will be a BBQ and the bar will be open so business as usual there.

Please update your availablity ASAP so that you can be filtered into either catergory. The forecast is set for a mini heatwave so make sure you bag your spot for a glorious day of cricket.

Chorleywood Classic & Supercar ShowNew!
The 2nd annual Chorleywood Classic & Supercar Show will be held on The Common this Saturday (27th July). The event will raise funds both for our club and for the "Help for Heroes" charity.

The event will run from 10-00am to 4-00pm and it is expected that there will be at least 200 visitors (+ exhibitors) over the course of the day. As well as the cars, there will be a BBQ & Hog Roast and our pavilion will be open all day to serve the (hopefully) hungry masses! More information about the event can be found at their website - http://www.chorleywoodclassics.org

HOWEVER - any assistance that anybody is able to give towards the setting up (from 9-00am onwards) & clearing-up will be very much appreciated - we realise that lots of you will playing cricket on Saturday, but any time you can spare either before or after your game would be a great help. And if you're not playing - why not come down and make a day of it?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give - and enjoy the day if you're coming down.

CWCC Emergency General Meeting - 25/06/1New!
Notice is hereby given that the club will be holding an Emergency General Meeting (EGM) on Tuesday 25th June at 8-00pm (ie. immediately following the Senior Nets session that evening).

The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss & ratify a new Club Constitution (this is required as part of the process to renew our Clubmark accreditation and to maintain our status as a "Focus Club") & the only method by which we can do this is either at the AGM or by calling an EGM at the earliest opportunity.

As the process of renewing these status' is currently ongoing, we need to ratify a new Constitution as soon as possible, rather than wait until the AGM later in the year. Further details of the wording of the new Constitution will be posted on the club website before the 25th June.

The service will take place on Tuesday, 19th February, 2013, at West Herts Crematorium, High Elms Lane, Garston, Watford WD25 0JS at 12 noon in the large chapel

We do hope that you will be able to attend this celebration of his life and we invite you to join us afterwards at Manor House Sports and Social Centre, Gallows Hill Lane/Popes Road, Abbots Langley, WD5 0DD, where we can gather to raise a glass or two to Bill and share our many fond memories of him.

Please could you pass these details on to anybody who you think would like to attend.

If anyone wishes to make a donation, cheques should made payable to 'The Chorleywood Cricket Club' and sent to - James Peddle Limited, 172 New Road, Croxley Green WD3 3HD.
