Congratulations to Danny Tipping who achieved his first 5 wicket haul ever at the weekend against Mojacar CC at La Manga in the first game of our Spanish tour.
Unfortunately it wasnt enough to see the 'Wood to victory but it did provide us with something to celebrate and drink to in the bars afterwards!

If you look at the "Club Day" fixture team list it has all the names of people who have expressed an interest in playing ... if you have a green tick you are confirmed and we will expect to see you at the club at 10.30 on Sunday 27th .. if you have a question mark then we dont know for sure what your availability is so if you could confirm asap that would be great!!

At our last Cricket Action Group meeting, we decided to open the meetings up to the whole of the club in the future to ensure that we got as broad a range of opinion/views as possible. Our next meeting will be after nets (which start at 6-6.30 every Tuesday as a reminder to everyone) on the 15th August in the clubhouse. Please attend as input from as many people as possible would be welcomed at the moment. Thanks

A notice has gone up just inside the club house about Club Day this year. It is on sunday August 27 and will be a six a side tournament like last year. It is definitely a case of the more the merrier so sign up yourself and get all your mates to sign up too!

Congratulations to Andy "naranja" Orange for hitting his maiden century against Old Stacians on tour in Kent this week, before retiring knackered ... sorry, hurt, on 106!
This is also the first time Andy has held the 87 trophy and his score was the 500th score of 50 or more for the club since website records began!
